Cheeky Dough Baby Bakery on State Makes Sweets to Feel Good About

Kristine Miller didn’t always know she wanted to be a pastry chef. Miller, now the owner of Dough Baby Bakery at 511 State St., grew up in Milwaukee where her dad made coffee cake and her mom baked sugar cookies. But when Miller became a pastry intern in 2009 at L’Etoile on the Capitol Square, it set her on a path toward Dough Baby, an organic, small-batch doughnut shop named for her chubby-cheeked son.
